TIME KEEPING: We work by appointment only. Please be punctual. If you are late more than 15 mins, unfortunately your appointment may be rescheduled if don’t have any spaces that day and 50% of the groom price will applied due to being unable to fill this space. Most grooms take approximately 2 hours or more depending on the size and the temperament of the dog, and coat condition. You will be advised when your dog is ready to collect. Please be punctual but do not turn up unless you have had a text to say they are ready as if your dog see’s you arrive they get excited making it impossible for us to finish their groom to a good standard.
1. YOUR PET’S HEALTH AND WELFARE: By attending your appointment, you the owner confirm that your dog is fit and healthy. Please make us aware if your dog is sick or elderly as they grooming procedure for them carries more risk so booking will be entirely at owner’s risk and you will be liable for any vet treatment needed for these reasons. we cannot take responsibility if your dog develops allergic reaction to shampoos, conditioners or any other grooming products. (but Please do inform me of ANY skin issues or irritations as there are shampoos designed for sensitive skin that we can use.)
2.OUR SAFETY: It is extremely important you inform us if your dog has aggressive tendencies or is likely to be nervous or fearful to enable us to take the correct approach with each individual.(please also tell us if your dog has bitten a groomer or had a bad grooming experience in the past) muzzles would always be our absolute last resort and will always be discussed where possible however we reserve the right to muzzle your dog if it represents danger to us. Any dog who shows aggression to people or other dogs will not be accepted for grooming unless a plan is discussed to help re-introduce your dog to a more positive grooming experience which may take up to 12 weekly 30 minute sessions at £15 per session. please be aware you will be liable for any veterinary treatment if needed should any accidents happen during these sessions due to difficult behaviour.
3. GROOMING ACCIDENTS: while every precaution and best care is taken during our dogs groom, due to using sharp tools on a moving subject accidents can happen. If an accident occurs in which I need to take your dog to a local vet please be aware you may be liable for any costs if the accident occurs because of bad behaviour.
4. MATTED COATS: We do not accept liability for any conditions arising following the clipping of a matted dog. This can include irritation, redness or nicks. Conditions can begin underneath knots and mats which will only be seen once the knots/ mats have been removed. we will advise if we feel a vet needs to take a look. Be aware it will feel odd to your dog to have all these knots removed so please be vigilant in the days following a clip off to prevent any unnecessary injuries occurring from scratching after a clip down. Additional fees will apply to cover damaged equipment and extra time.
5. EAR PLUCKING: Removing the hair can irritate the delicate skin of ear canals and lead to ear problems. Plucking the hair from a dogs ear canal leaves small openings on the skin where bacteria could settle more easily. We only pluck ears if requested by owner and this has been agreed by your vet we cannot take responsibility should your dog get ear infections or irritations following this
6. FLEAS/TICKS: If your dog is found to have fleas and we have not been informed by you the owner there will be an additional cost of £10 to pay for the products required for us to treat the salon.(by signing this contract you agree to us using flea shampoo if required. If you have informed us there will not be an additional fee as we will take extra steps in the bathing process to maximise the effect of washing them all off the dog during the bath.
It is your responsibility to ensure your dog is up to date with flea and worming treatment and we will not accept any responsibility if your dog gets flea's on or around the time of their groom.
7. ANAL GLANDS: We do not generally perform anal gland expression as a routine service. It’s our philosophy that although groomers are qualified to do this we feel this process should be only performed by licensed veterinary person, and only when medically necessary. we believe that anal gland expression should not be a recurring procedure applied to a healthy animal, as serious consequences can occur. If you still require us to express anal glands for your dog this will be an additional service and will need to be agreed by your vet. (Signing this consent form will be confirmation you are responsible for getting this permission from vet before adding arriving for this service and we will not be held liable for any infections or irritations following this.)
9. CANCELLATION: We respectfully ask that you give as much notice as possible (48 hours) if you need to cancel your appointment Less than this or a no show may result in full payment of groom before we can book you for any future appointments as we have a waiting list or people we can offer this appointment to if yours is not needed.
10. PAYMENTS: Payments will need to be taken at time of collection and we accept either cash or card payments (this includes apple pay & google pay)
11. GROOM FEEDBACK: If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your pet’s groom please us know asap and we would be more than happy to rectify any parts you are unhappy with. please also bear in mind in can take 2 or 3 visits to get your desired look as everyone likes different looks/styles (showing us a photo of a style you would like is extremely helpful) You will receive a thank you email – please reply to this with any issues or questions you have and we will reply as soon as possible.
12. PHOTOGRAPHS: Your dog may be photographed before, during and after their groom. Photographs may be used on my website, social media or other printed materials.
13 CLIPPER RASH: Sometimes dogs can be sensitive to clippers and can occasionally become irritated in areas particularly the sanitary/hygiene area as a short blade is used here to clear the area, please try and prevent your dog from licking this area as this will make it worse and use sudocrem/savalon (please only use a small amount and please do not allow your dog to lick the cream as this can be harmful to them - we do not take responsibility for your dog ingesting any creams) to help soothe the area and this should clear within a few days.
Please note that by availing of our services you are agreeing and accepting of our terms and conditions.
